Theme: Courage and Compassion
Climate disruption has major social consequences; from communities struggling to cope with increasingly dangerous bush fires, storms, drought and heat waves to potentially staggering numbers of climate refugees needing safe haven. All these risk increasing fear and division, with people looking for scapegoats for the troubles. To avoid this we must build much stronger, more inclusive and compassionate communities. All of us need to play a role to ensure we reject cynicism, fear and prejudice so that the whispers of an enemy, whether internal or external, have no chance to poison our souls.
